This Friday afternoon a magnitude 6 earthquake hits MINDORO, Luzon – PHILIPPINES allerted by United States Geological Survey (USGS).

Friday, September 18, 2009 at 02:23:58 PM at epicenter MINDORO, PHILIPPINES.

The United States Geological Survey traced the epicenter of the earthquake pointing to MINDORO, Luzon – PHILIPPINES at 2:23 p.m.

The epicenter was traced:

115 km (75 miles) SW of Calapan, Mindoro, Philippines
145 km (90 miles) SSW of Batangas, Luzon, Philippines
230 km (145 miles) SSW of MANILA, Philippines
250 km (155 miles) S of Olongapo, Luzon, Philippines

No damage or casualties have been reported as of this time!

Frog or toad found in Pepsi can, FDA says!

Waaaah FDA says a frog or toad was in man’s Diet Pepsi! The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) says a test conducted and shows that either a frog or a toad was in a Florida man’s soda can, but it’s not clear how the frog or the toad got in there.

In a report on a local tv channel, I heard the following:

“The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had confirmed that there was remains of an animal were in Fred Denegri’s can of Diet Pepsi in can. Denegri openned the Pepsi can last July 23 as he was grilling for a dinner in Ormond Beach. He first thought that the little animal was a ‘Mouse’ rodent.”

Fred Denegri further claims, he’s certain that the little animal was in the can before he opened it.

However, Jeff Dahncke a Pepsi spokesman, says their company is aware of having some testing standards on its manufacturing process. And Dahncke assures public that their system undergoes good speed of production lines and undergoes more rigorous quality control, does very impossible for a frog or toad to get into the can of soda.

Indonesia Earthquake 7 magnitude earthquake!

Breaking News Today: Indonesia Earthquake is a major earthquake that strikes Indonesia today! It was initially categorized as magnitude 7.4 before, but downgraded to 7.0 as per advisory by geological officials. This major earthquake has hit the southern part of Indonesia at 2:55 PM. The quake was found underwater in origin. The quake has affected the southernmost coast of Java’s main island.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake has a depth of 60 km underwater. This Indonesia earthquake, was directly felt in Tasikmalaya City area and surrounding areas. This major earthquake in Indonesia has caused panic and scare tsunami watch among the people of that area.

Confirmed six died as major earthquake strikes Indonesia! In an interview to a Filipina witness living in that area, she related “The whole building started to sway and sway. People are very scared.. running for safety. Some buildings were damaged and people panicked in the streets because the supply of electricity was cut-off,..”

INC leader dies Eraño "Ka Erdie" Manalo

News Today: Eraño “Ka Erdie” Manalo the INC leader dies, Iglesia ni Cristo (Church of Christ) (INC) leader executive minister Eraño “Ka Erdie” Manalo has passed away.

Eraño Manalo died because of cardiopulmonary arrest at the age of 84, 3:53 pm. January 2, 1925 – August 31, 2009.

Eraño is the son and successor of the late Felix Manalo, the supreme founder and first executive minister of the Iglesia ni Cristo. He took over the administration of Iglesia ni Cristo after the death of his father Evangelist Felix in 1963. He was responsible church leader and heavens instrumental grace in the propagation and expansion of the Iglesia ni Cristo internationally.

As of now, tributes pour in for ‘Ka Erdie’. Politicians, followers and various groups paid tribute to Eraño “Ka Erdie” Manalo the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) executive minister!

His remains will be at INC’s central temple, the temple was in Commonwealth in Quezon City, Philippines. His remains is available for public viewing 3PM Tuesday.

Disney to Acquire Marvel Buy for $4 Billion Disney – Marvel

The Walt Disney Company just this August 31, 2009, announced that they will acquire Marvel Entertainment, Inc. stated on its 2009 News Release on their company website in company stocks and cold cash transaction worth Four Billion Dollars, yes $4 Billion Dollars, not Philippine Peso guys!

In the agreement, Disney will pay MARVEL ENTERTAINMENT shareholders, thus Marvel shareholders will receive a total of $30 per share in cash plus approximately 0.745 Disney shares for each Marvel share they own, based to the merger consideration based on its trading value at that time is not less than 40% of the total merger consideration.

The exchange closing price of Disney stock this Friday, August 28, is the basis of the transaction value $50 per Marvel share or approximately $4 billion dollars.

This deal is considered very huge, as huge as over than 5,000 Marvel characters, Disney INC will acquire ownership of global brand and world-renowned library of characters including Iron Man, Spider-Man, X-Men, Captain America, Fantastic Four and Thor plus more thousand Marvel characters produced.
